| Reversbeschreibung | The reverse presents polychrome relief depictions of the badge and star of the Imperial Order of Saint Alexander Nevsky, accompanied by a folded ribbon of the Order, set against a laser-matted background rendering a fragment of the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Saint Petersburg. The contrasting surfaces — coloured high-relief insignia against the matte architectural background — exemplify the technical sophistication characteristic of modern Russian commemorative coinage. The date '1725', marking the establishment of the Order under Empress Catherine I, appears in relief above the central composition. The circumferential inscription 'УЧРЕЖДЕНИЕ ОРДЕНА СВЯТОГО АЛЕКСАНДРА НЕВСКОГО' (The Establishment of the Order of Saint Alexander Nevsky) runs along the lower periphery in Cyrillic lettering. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
The Order of Saint Alexander Nevsky has a convoluted institutional history: Peter the Great conceived it before his death in 1725, Catherine I formally instituted it that same year, and Catherine II later restricted it to military recipients only — a restriction abandoned under Paul I. The Soviet Union revived the order in 1942, stripped of its imperial religious framing, as a decoration specifically for Red Army officers who successfully commanded units in defensive or offensive operations. Putin re-established the post-Soviet version in 2010.
This is part of the Bank of Russia's long-running commemorative series honoring Russian state awards, issued in standard 33.94g silver with mintages typically in the low thousands.
