Obverse description Central device depicts the Russian Federation's double-headed eagle, displayed with wings spread, rendered in finely detailed relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles) arcs along the upper legend within a beaded inner border, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) and the date 2005 г. appear in the lower legend. To the lower left, the fineness mark Ag 925 is inscribed, and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД) appears to the lower right, also within the beaded border. The entire composition is executed in proof finish with frosted devices contrasting against the deeply mirrored field.
