Obverse description The obverse features the double-headed eagle designed by artist Ivan Bilibin, displayed in the central field in a heraldic style characteristic of early 20th-century Russian graphic art. A circular legend along the upper rim reads «3 РУБЛЯ 1997 г.» (3 ROUBLES 1997), while «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) is inscribed along the lower rim. Below the eagle, hallmark details are engraved in the field, indicating the metal designation, fineness (Ag 900), fine metal content (31.1 g), and the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД). The coin was engraved on the obverse by Alexander Vasilyevich Baklanov.
