The upper legend reads `ТРИ РУБЛЯ` (THREE ROUBLES) and the lower arc bears the inscription `БАНК РОССИИ` (BANK OF RUSSIA). Below the eagle along the lower rim, the precious metal designation `Ag 925` appears to the left of the date `2015 г.`, with the fine metal content and the Saint Petersburg Mint mark `СПМД` to the right. |

| Reverse description | The mirror-finish central field features a relief composition of a polar bear with her cub in the foreground, with a hippopotamus depicted to the lower right. The surrounding matte annular zone is richly decorated with scenes from the Leningrad Zoo: to the left and above appear the Zoo's entrance gate and a procession of animals including a monkey, an elephant, a giraffe, two birds, a moose, and a tiger. To the right, the silhouette of the Peter and Paul Church provides a St. Petersburg architectural backdrop. At the left of the rim, a two-line inscription reads `150 ЛЕТ` (150 YEARS), and along the lower rim a two-line legend reads `ЛЕНИНГРАДСКИЙ ЗООПАРК` (LENINGRAD ZOO), commemorating the institution's 150th anniversary. |
