| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts the head of a European beaver (Castor fiber) emerging from a water surface, rendered in fine relief with naturalistic detail showing the animal's dense fur and characteristic broad muzzle. The composition conveys a sense of the beaver's aquatic habitat, with stylised water ripples surrounding the subject. Along the upper rim, the inscription СОХРАНИМ (PROTECT) arcs above the central design, while the lower rim bears the complementary legend НАШ МИР (OUR WORLD), together forming the conservation motto of the series. |

Part of the Bank of Russia's long-running wildlife conservation series, this issue coincides with a period when the Eurasian beaver population was finally recovering after near-extinction across most of Russia — hunting and habitat loss had reduced numbers to an estimated 1,000–2,000 animals by the early twentieth century. Soviet-era reintroduction programs beginning in the 1920s and 1930s slowly reversed the collapse, and by the 2000s the species had rebounded to several hundred thousand.
The .925 silver conservation issues were struck at the Moscow Mint in proof finish with relatively modest mintages, making later dates in the series harder to source than the early issues.
