The ancient stone church, with its characteristic stepped pyramidal roof constructed of dry-laid masonry, occupies the central and right portion of the design, enclosed by a low rubble-stone perimeter wall with a arched gateway visible to the left. Mountain slopes and bare deciduous trees compose the background landscape, conveying the remote Caucasian setting.
