| Obverse description | At centre, the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — occupies the field, encircled by a beaded border. The curved legend БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) appears beneath the eagle within the inner circle. Along the upper rim runs the denomination legend ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles), while the lower rim bears, to the left, the alloy designation and fineness (Ag 925), at centre the year of issue 2008 г., and to the right the fine metal content in grams together with the Saint Petersburg Mint mark СПМД. |

| Reverse description | The centre of the reverse presents a detailed architectural rendering of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady of the Snetogorsk Monastery, depicted in a stylised artistic manner characteristic of Russian commemorative issues. Beneath the cathedral a two-line inscription reads СНЕТОГОРСКИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ (Snetogorsk Monastery). To the right of the cathedral a fragment of a stylised ornamental motif is shown, below which the place name ПСКОВ (Pskov) and the date XIV в. (14th century) are inscribed in two lines. Arching along the upper rim is the principal legend СОБОР РОЖДЕСТВА БОГОРОДИЦЫ (Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady). |
