| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts a dynamic sledge hockey player in full protective gear, including a helmet with face guard, seated on a low sledge and leaning forward in vigorous motion, holding two short sticks — one raised and one extended toward the ice — rendered in frosted high relief against a geometric patterned background. In the lower central field, a bold hexagonal panel bears the Cyrillic inscription СОЧИ 2014, with the International Paralympic Committee logo positioned below. To the lower right, a colour-enamelled floral emblem — the official Sochi 2014 Paralympic mascot flower motif — is applied in blue, green, and yellow hues, providing a vivid contrast to the otherwise silver-toned composition. |

Issued as part of Russia's sprawling commemorative program for the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics, this piece belongs to a series that ran parallel to the better-known Olympic issues. The Sochi Games were the first Winter Olympics hosted by Russia since the Soviet collapse — a fact the Kremlin invested heavily in broadcasting to the world, both through the games themselves and through an unusually extensive coinage program spanning multiple metals and denominations.
Sledge hockey had been a Paralympic discipline since Nagano 1998. Russia fielded a competitive team at Sochi.
