| Obverse description | At center of the mirror-polished field, the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle crowned with two smaller imperial crowns surmounted by a larger central crown, holding an orb and scepter, with the shield of Saint George and the Dragon on its breast. The circular legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ arcs along the upper rim in Cyrillic. Below the eagle, the inscriptions БАНК РОССИИ, 3 РУБЛЯ, and 2018 г. are arranged in three lines. To the lower left of the eagle, the alloy designation Ag 925 appears, while the fineness weight 31,1 is positioned to the lower right alongside the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД).
