Obverse description The obverse features the Russian State Emblem in the form of a double-headed eagle with wings spread, displayed at centre without shield, crown, sceptre, or orb, rendered in a simplified bullion-issue style. The Cyrillic legend ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles) arcs along the upper field, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) is inscribed in a curved legend beneath the eagle. The date of issue appears at the bottom of the field, flanked by two raised dots. The silver fineness (Аг 999) is incused along the left inner border and the weight (31,1) along the right, with the mint mark of the issuing facility also present. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border.
