Obverse description At the center of the obverse, the Russian State Emblem — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, facing outward on both heads — is depicted in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles) arcs along the upper legend, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves below the eagle. The date 2005 г. appears at the bottom, flanked by the silver fineness mark Ag 925 to the lower left and the mint mark ММД (Moscow Mint) with the weight indicator 31,1 to the lower right. A fine dentilated border encircles the entire design.
