Obverse description At centre, the Bank of Russia emblem depicts a double-headed eagle with wings lowered, set within a beaded inner circle. The semicircular legend БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves below the eagle within the circle. Along the upper rim, the denomination legend ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles) is inscribed, while the date 2002 appears at the lower rim. To the left of the eagle, the metal purity designation Ag 900 is indicated; to the right, the fine metal content 31,1 and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram СПМД are present.
