| Additional information |
Part of the Bank of Russia's long-running fairy tale series, this piece draws on one of the oldest East Slavic folk narratives — the tale of Ivan Tsarevich and the Grey Wolf appears in written form as early as the 18th century but almost certainly predates that in oral tradition. The series has been running since the 1990s and has become one of the more systematically collected modern Russian silver programs, with individual releases regularly disappearing from the secondary market faster than the broader commemorative output.
