| Obverse description | At center, the large numeral '3' is prominently displayed within an octagonal inner field formed by a finely toothed border, with the inscription 'REICHSMARK' in two lines beneath. The circular legend 'DEUTSCHES REICH' arcs across the upper portion of the coin. Flanking the central device at lower left and right are two symmetrical sprays of oak leaves with acorns, their stems crossing at the base.
