| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a heavily worn and corroded field in which the design details are largely obscured by patination and surface degradation. Faint traces of what appears to be a symbolic motif — possibly a srivatsa, conch, or other auspicious device commonly employed on early Mon coinage of the Sudhammapura type — can be discerned in the central area. The flan edge is irregular and crenellated, consistent with hammered manufacture. No inscription or legend is visible on this face. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Thaton, known in Pali sources as Sudhammapura, was among the earliest Indianized polities in lower Burma, and its coinage reflects deep Brahmanical and Buddhist influence filtering through maritime trade networks connecting the Bay of Bengal to the Mon heartland. These tiny silver pieces circulated in a commercial economy that Chinese Tang dynasty sources confirm was actively trading with South Asian merchants by the seventh century.
The Kri/Mih reference series remains the primary cataloguing framework for Mon ratti coinage, built largely on hoard evidence rather than excavation records.
