正面描述 A crowned bear passant is depicted atop a crenellated wall, rendered in a bold, somewhat naive style typical of small German states coinage of the mid-18th century. The bear, emblem of the House of Anhalt-Bernburg, faces left with its right forepaw raised, wearing a crown upon its head. The circular legend PERRUMPENDUM arcs around the upper field in Latin capital letters, serving as the princely motto meaning 'it must be broken through'. The wall is depicted with alternating merlons in the lower portion of the obverse field. No exergue line is present.

附加信息

Victor II Frederick ruled Anhalt-Bernburg for less than a decade before the principality passed to his cousin, collapsing the senior line of the Bernburg branch entirely. These copper pfennig pieces circulated through a principality so small that its monetary output was largely absorbed by neighboring Prussian and Saxon commercial traffic rather than sustaining any independent economic system.
