| Obverse description | Central device consisting of the heraldic wheel of Osnabrück, depicted as a spoked wheel with eight spokes enclosed within a raised circular border, occupying the center of the field. The circumferential legend reads STADT. OSNABRÜCK in Latin capitals, arranged around the upper arc, flanked by small rosette or floral ornaments at the lower sides. The denomination indicator .3.P. appears in the lower field beneath the wheel, separated from the legend by the ornamental stops. The overall design is plain and functional, characteristic of early nineteenth-century German municipal coinage. |
