Reverse description The numeral 3 prominently displayed in the upper field in a large, bold serif character with a curved tail, serving as the denomination indicator. Beneath it, the word PFENNIG arcs in a convex curve across the centre of the field in widely spaced Roman capitals. The date 1791 is inscribed below in a concave arc, completing the three-line denomination and date arrangement. A small four-petalled rosette ornament appears in the lower field below the date, serving as a decorative stop.
