Reverse description The denomination rendered in large Roman numerals 'III' occupies the upper field, separated by a horizontal rule from the word 'PFENNING' inscribed across the centre in bold capital letters. The four-digit date 1715 appears in the lower field, flanked on either side by rosette ornaments, with the mintmaster's initials 'IG' centred at the very base below a pair of pellets. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, and the flat field bears no further decoration.
