附加信息

Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg in 1761 was under considerable strain — the Seven Years' War was grinding through its final years, and Thuringian territories had suffered repeated requisitions, troop movements, and fiscal disruption since 1756. Small copper pfennig issues from this period often served as emergency liquidity when silver coinage was being hoarded or melted to meet military obligations.

Frederick III ruled Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg from 1732 until his death in 1772, making this a mid-reign issue with no particular succession pressure behind it.
