背面描述 A imperial orb surmounted by an ornate cross, set within an elaborate baroque scrollwork frame, with the numeral '3' incorporated prominently into the central design to denote the denomination. The divided date appears to either side of the orb within the frame, confirming the year of issue. The baroque cartouche surrounding the central device is characteristic of late 17th-century Saxon minor coinage, with foliate and scroll ornament filling the field. A beaded border runs along the coin's periphery.

附加信息

Frederick August I — better known as Augustus the Strong — was Elector of Saxony from 1694, and these small silver pieces were struck in the opening years of his reign before his conversion to Catholicism in 1697 cleared the path for his election as King of Poland. The Saxon mints were productive and well-organized in this period, feeding demand from a territory with a complex, tiered coinage system where even the smallest denominations were struck in silver rather than copper.

KM#665 sits at the bottom of that hierarchy. Two-year type.
