| 背面描述 | The reverse displays a four-line central inscription stating the denomination and date within the open field, reading '120 EINEN THALER / 3 PFENNIGE / [year] [mint mark] / SCHEIDE MÜNZE'. The denomination legend indicates the coin's value as 1/120 of a Thaler. The legend is arranged in horizontal lines across the plain field, framed by a beaded border, with 'SCHEIDE MÜNZE' (token coinage) appearing at the base. |

Anhalt-Bernburg's joint coinage under Alexander Charles and Leopold Frederick reflects the duchy's awkward dynastic situation in its final decades — Alexander Charles died without legitimate issue in 1863, after which Leopold Frederick of Anhalt-Dessau absorbed the territory, unifying the Anhalt duchies under a single ruler for the first time. These copper pieces continued circulating through that transition, eventually rendered obsolete when the unified North German Confederation standardized coinage after 1866.
