| 表面の説明 | Two crossed keys, the symbol of the city of Minden, displayed prominently in the center of the field. The date is divided across the design, with '1' and '6' appearing to either side of the keys and '34' positioned below, forming the full year 1634. The flan shows the irregular, roughly clipped edges characteristic of emergency siege coinage struck under wartime conditions. |

Minden's siege coinage of 1634 was struck during the Thirty Years' War, when Imperial forces blockaded the city and cut off normal coin supply. Necessity issues of this kind were authorized locally and often produced from whatever metal was at hand — in Minden's case, copper sheet stock rather than prepared coin blanks, which accounts for the irregular flans commonly seen on survivors. The 0.70g weight is light even for the denomination, reflecting emergency production rather than adherence to any standard.
