背面描述 The numeral '3' appears prominently at the top of the field, flanked by two small floral or rosette ornaments, above the denomination inscription 'PFENNIG' in two lines separated by a horizontal bar. Below, the mint mark 'S·M' and the four-digit date are arranged in the lower portion of the field, all contained within a plain field with a toothed outer border. The layout is simple and legible, consistent with small-denomination copper coinage of the mid-eighteenth-century Holy Roman Empire.

附加信息

John Frederick Charles of Ostein served as Archbishop-Elector of Mainz from 1743 until his death in 1763, governing through the catastrophic disruptions of the Seven Years' War. Mainz itself changed hands and suffered occupation during the conflict, and small copper pfennig coinage of this period was struck partly to address the chronic shortage of functioning small change as silver was hoarded or melted. The two-year window of this issue — 1760 to 1761 — falls squarely in the war's most destructive phase on German soil.
