The shield is flanked on both sides by laurel branches that cross at the base, forming a wreath. The date numerals appear at the lower portion of the design, partially integrated into the wreath. The overall composition is characteristic of late 17th-century German hammered small coinage, with an irregularly shaped planchet and a milled or toothed border encircling the design. |
