Beschrijving voorzijde Central field displays the elaborately interlaced cypher of Elector Frederick August I of Saxony, composed of intertwined initials rendered in a baroque decorative style. The cypher is flanked on either side by ornate palm or laurel branches, their fronds curving symmetrically outward to fill the field. The Arms of Saxony — featuring the distinctive barry field with a diagonal rute (crancelin) — appear incorporated within or beneath the monogram. No peripheral legend is present; the design relies entirely on heraldic and cyphered ornament. The milled edge is clearly visible around the entire circumference of the flan.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field features a large stylised numeral '3', denoting the denomination of three Pfennig, set within a baroque cartouche formed by scrolling ornamental curves. Above the numeral appears a decorative cross-like ornament with radiating finials, flanked by further scrollwork. The date is divided across the field, with partial numerals visible to the left and right of the central device. Below, the mintmaster's initials 'E.P.H.' appear in the exergue, identifying the Leipzig mint official. The milled border frames the entire reverse composition.
