| 背面描述 | Central design displays a crowned orb bearing the numeral '3' in bold relief, signifying the denomination of three Pfennig, set within an ornate baroque shield or cartouche decorated with scrolling foliate flourishes at top and sides. The date is split across the field, '17' to the left and '51' to the right of the central device. The milled border runs along the coin's periphery. |

Francis Josias ruled Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld from 1735 until his death in 1764, spending most of that reign as an Austrian field marshal — he commanded imperial forces at the Battle of Chotusitz in 1742 and led the crossing of the Rhine in 1743. He was, in practical terms, a soldier who happened to hold a duchy. Small billon issues like this one were struck to meet local circulation needs in a territory too minor to sustain a robust mint output, and the 1751–52 window likely reflects a specific shortage rather than routine annual production.
