Obverse description Central field bears the elaborate interlaced cypher 'CA' (for Clemens August) in cursive monogram form, surmounted by a princely electoral hat. The monogram is flanked on either side by decorative foliate or palm branch ornaments, rendered in a Baroque style characteristic of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage.

Reverse description Within a raised inner circle, the denomination is inscribed in three lines reading 'III' above 'PFEN' above the date '1741', with a small ornament below the date. A circular outer legend surrounding the inner circle reads 'FURSTL.MUNSTRISCH.SCHEIDE.MUNTZ', identifying the coin as small change currency of the Principality of Münster.
