| Obverse description | Central field bears the elaborate interlaced cypher 'CA' (for Clemens August) in cursive monogram form, surmounted by a princely electoral hat. The monogram is flanked on either side by decorative foliate or palm branch ornaments, rendered in a Baroque style characteristic of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |
