| Reverse description | Central design features the imperial orb surmounted by a cross fleury, the globe decorated with a horizontal band of pearls and a cross dividing the upper hemisphere. The date 1683 is divided to either side of the orb, with '16' to the left and '83' to the right. The denomination numeral '3' appears prominently below the orb in the lower field. The reverse composition is typical of small-denomination German Pfennig coinage of the period, employing the Reichsapfel (imperial orb) as the principal device. |
