| 正面描述 | The obverse displays the heraldic griffin of Rostock passant to the right, rendered in bold relief with wings raised and forelegs elevated in a rampant posture, set upon a horizontal bar or beam that bisects the lower field. The griffin, a traditional civic emblem of the city of Rostock, is depicted with considerable detail in the feathering of its wings and the musculature of its haunches. The border is decorated with a toothed or serrated inner rim. The abbreviated city name legend ROST. appears in raised Latin letters across the lower portion of the field, below the beam. |

Rostock maintained the right to strike its own municipal copper coinage well into the eighteenth century, a privilege increasingly rare among German cities by this period as territorial princes consolidated monetary control. The 1761 date places this piece squarely in the Seven Years' War, when disrupted trade routes and wartime metal demands made even small municipal copper issues logistically complicated to produce consistently.
KM#122 is the sole catalogued type for this denomination and date from the city mint.
