| Obverse description | Printed in reddish-brown on a light cream ground, the obverse is centred on a large guilloche rosette bearing the denomination TRES PESOS, flanked by two circular vignettes: the Cuban national coat of arms at left within a fine-line border, and a radiant sunburst guilloche medallion at right. The trilingual heading EXCHANGE CERTIFICATE / CERTIFICADO DE DIVISA / CERTIFICAT DE DEVISE runs across the top, with the issuer legend BANCO NACIONAL DE CUBA at the foot; specimen examples carry a large diagonal MUESTRA overprint across the face. |
