The peripheral legend 'TERRITORY·OF·NEW·GUINEA' arcs around the upper half and '·THREE·PENCE·' around the lower half, separated by dot stops, within a beaded border. The geometric design, engraved by George Kruger Gray, is characteristic of the distinctive holed coinage issued for the Territory. |
