Reverse description Three upright assegai spears arranged in a fan-like composition dominate the central field, their hafts bound and pointed heads converging toward the top of the coin. The denomination '3d' appears in the upper arc between the spear tips, while the date is split to either side of the central spear in the lower field. The inscription SOUTHERN RHODESIA arcs around the periphery, with the engraver's initials 'KG' visible at the base of the spear hafts. A beaded border surrounds the entire design.
