The sovereign's effigy is rendered with fine detail to the hair, laurel wreath, and facial features. The peripheral legend encircles the bust, separated from the toothed border by a raised rim. Two varieties are known: a small head (KM#685.1, Sp#3818, used in 1822) and a larger head (KM#685.2, Sp#3819, used from 1823 onward). |
