| Obverse description | Central field bears a trilingual inscription arranged in three vertical panels: Arabic legend to the left reading the Hijri date and denomination, Chinese characters in the centre reading 光緒銀圓三錢 (Guangxu Silver Yuan Three Mace), and Manchu script to the right. The legends collectively identify the issuing authority, denomination of three mithqual of white silver, and the regnal era of the Guangxu Emperor. The entire inscription is contained within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a wreath or foliate border at the rim. |
