| Obverse description | Central floral rosette flanked by four Chinese ideograms arranged in cruciform order, read top to bottom and right to left. A peripheral Chinese legend appears above and below the central device, while bilingual Arabic inscriptions occupy the left and right fields. The overall design reflects the characteristic bicultural style of late Qing coinage produced at the Kashgar mint for circulation in Chinese Turkestan. |

| Reverse description | A sinuous Imperial Chinese dragon rendered in low relief occupies the entire field, its body coiling dynamically around a central flaming pearl. The dragon is depicted facing forward with an open mouth, prominent horns, and scaled body with detailed clawed feet, all executed in the characteristic archaic style of Xinjiang provincial coinage of the late Qing dynasty. The field is otherwise plain with no peripheral legend. |
