Reverse description The reverse depicts a high-relief commemorative scene celebrating the centenary of Prussia's call to arms against Napoleon in 1813. At center, a uniformed officer on horseback is surrounded by eagerly responding volunteers and soldiers in period dress, rendered in a dynamic, sculptural composition. The legend DER KÖNIG RIEF UND ALLE ALLE KAMEN arcs across the upper field, while the patriotic inscription MIT GOTT · FÜR KÖNIG UND VATERLAND and the date 17-3-1813 appear in the lower field. The mint mark A is situated at the very base of the design. A beaded border frames the scene.
