A laurel branch motif appears at the lower left of the truncation. The circumferential legend reads WILHELM II KÖNIG.V.WÜRTTEMBERG, divided by the regnal commemorative dates 1891–1916 inscribed along the lower arc. The Stuttgart mint mark F appears at the base of the design, just below the date range. A beaded border frames the entire obverse. |

Issued to mark Wilhelm II of Württemberg's 25th jubilee year on the throne, this commemorative was struck in 1916 — the midpoint of the First World War, when silver coinage in Germany was being systematically withdrawn and replaced by iron and zinc substitutes. That a jubilee issue in .900 silver went ahead at all reflects the political calculation that royal commemoration retained propaganda value even as the empire's metal reserves tightened.
Mintages for Württemberg commemoratives of this period were modest by design, distributed largely through court channels rather than general circulation. Most surviving examples show minimal wear for precisely that reason.
