| Obverse description | Dark-ground note with the denomination '3 M' rendered in large Gothic script at upper left and upper right. The central vignette presents the town arms of Bütow within a circular frame: a shield bearing a cross surmounted by two church towers flanking a central chapel, all set above a red brick arched gateway. A lower panel in a lighter tone carries the text of the cheque instruction, the issuer name 'Bütow' in large red Gothic lettering, and the denomination 'Drei Mark' at right. A scroll cartouche at the foot shows the account designation and a serial number. Artist signatures 'Grimmer' and 'Kriwub' appear at lower left and lower right of the vignette border. |
