| Opmerkingen |
Kandrzin-Pogorzelletz was a hyphenated administrative merger of two communities on the Oder, and the dual name on this note reflects precisely that awkward municipal identity — neither fully one town nor the other. The 1921 date places this squarely in the Upper Silesian plebiscite period, when the region's political future was being decided by vote under Allied supervision. Local Notgeld issued during those months carried an almost propagandistic undertone of civic continuity, asserting the municipality's existence at a moment when its national affiliation was genuinely unresolved.
Grass, Barth & Comp. in Breslau printed enormous quantities of Silesian Notgeld during this period, and the output was occasionally uneven in registration.
