| Obverse description | Draped laureate bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, set within a beaded inner circle, with the numeral value '3' displayed in a small cartouche at the base of the bust. The top of the effigy breaks through the inner circle, interrupting the continuous Latin legend that reads LEOPOLDVS D G R I S A G H B REX, an abbreviation for Leopoldus Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus, Germaniae, Hungariae Bohemiaeque Rex. The portrait reflects the baroque court style characteristic of late 17th-century Habsburg coinage. |

| Reverse description | Double-headed imperial eagle displayed beneath an elaborate crown, with a central shield bearing the quartered arms of Austria and Burgundy. The regnal year appears above the crown, divided at the center. The surrounding Latin legend reads ARCHIDVX AVST DVX BVR CO TYR, abbreviating Archidux Austriae, Dux Burgundiae, Comes Tyrolis, denoting Leopold I's hereditary territorial titles. The design follows the standard typology of the Habsburg 3 Kreuzer series of the period. |
