Obverse description Within a beaded or rope inner circle, a crowned ornate cartouche bearing the horizontally divided arms of Austria (barry of silver and gules), flanked by elaborate foliate scrollwork. The date 1622 is split across the upper field, with digits appearing on either side of the crown. The peripheral Latin legend runs around the outer border of the coin.
