| 背面描述 | Two baroque crowned shields side by side, representing the arms of Austria and Tyrol respectively. A crown above the shields divides the date, one digit on each side. The denomination numeral III appears in a cartouche or frame at the center between the shields, with the value prominently displayed. The surrounding legend reads ARCHID AUST DVX B CO TYR, identifying the ruler as Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, and Count of Tyrol. |

Joseph I inherited the War of the Spanish Succession from his father Leopold I and spent virtually his entire reign financing it. The 3 Kreuzer was the workhorse of small silver in this period — produced in enormous quantities to pay troops and suppliers across the Habsburg theater. The Hall mint in the Tyrol had operated continuously since 1477 and remained one of the most technically capable facilities in the empire.
Joseph died in April 1711 from smallpox at age 32, cutting short a reign of just six years. His brother Charles, then fighting as the Habsburg claimant in Spain, immediately abandoned that campaign to assume the imperial title — ending the war's central dynastic rationale.
