Reverse description The Roman numeral III occupies the upper central field in large bold characters, with the word KREUZER inscribed in a straight line below. A decorative foliate spray curves along the lower portion of the field, with the mint mark S (for Schwabach) prominently displayed at the base within the spray. The peripheral legend R·PR·ANSP·BAYR·L·M· runs along the upper circumference, denoting the titles of the Prussian ruler as Margrave of Ansbach and Bayreuth. The rim is bordered by a fine milled or toothed edge.
