Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Franz I facing right, rendered in fine relief with naturalistic portraiture typical of early 19th-century Austrian coinage. The legend encircles the effigy, separated by colons, reading FRANCISCVS I D G AVST IMPERATOR, with the mint mark A appearing in the lower field beneath the bust truncation. The lettering is in Roman capitals executed in the neoclassical style characteristic of the Vienna Mint under the Empire.
