Glatz — now Kłodzko in southwestern Poland — was a Bohemian county that passed definitively to Habsburg control during the Thirty Years' War, and this small silver issue belongs to the period immediately following Ferdinand III's confirmation of authority over the region. The Glatz mint operated intermittently and under close imperial supervision; its output during these years reflects the chronic silver shortages and fractional coinage demands that plagued Central European circulation throughout the conflict.
Herinek 826 is not a common attribution, and surviving examples attributable specifically to this mint tend to surface in Central European collections rather than the Western auction market.
