TESCH. 1648, identifying this as a new silver coin of the Duchy of Teschen, with the date 1648 incorporated into the legend. The numeral 3 appears at the top of the coin above the eagle's crown, denoting the denomination. The overall design is characteristic of the regional coinage produced under Habsburg suzerainty. |
