| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing armor with a ruffled collar, set within a beaded inner circle. The denomination numeral '3' appears in an oval cartouche at the base of the bust. The surrounding legend is divided by the bust and reads FERDI·II·D·G·R·I·S·A·G·H·B·REX, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous late-Renaissance style typical of Graz Mint production. The coin's field is flat with a rope-edged border. |
