Reverse description Central field displays a composite heraldic shield bearing the arms of Austria (fess) and Burgundy, surmounted by an imperial crown. Flanking the shield are two smaller subsidiary shields, one bearing the Styrian panther to the left and the other the Hungarian stripes to the right, arranged in a symmetrical baroque composition. The mint date is split across the upper field on either side of the crown. The surrounding Latin legend, reading ARCH AVS DVX BVR STYRIÆ, denoting Ferdinand's archducal and ducal titles, runs between an inner circle and an outer beaded border.
